Sarah & Stephen’s Winter Wedding

It certainly was a Winter White Wedding when Sarah and Stephen exchanged vows on a very snowy December 19th 2010.

I was only booked to photograph their wedding on the Wednesday as a recommendation from a friend who’s baby I had photographed a couple of months before, so I knew very little about Sarah and Stephen, all I knew from my brief chat with Stephen was that we had lived very near to each other when my husband and I were living in Wellington, West Palm Beach, Florida and that Sarah has a house in the Acerage in Royal Palm Beach, which was where we started off living when we moved to the USA. What I later learnt was that Stephen & my husband James worked together and knew each other from the project that my husband ran!! It certainly is a very small world, and I am sure there will be a few beers and some catching up to do in the future.

For any couple wanting the perfect winter wedding Sarah and Stephen certainly got their wish to come true and with the vintage Rolls Royce the day had a truly magical vintage feel to the photographs.

Here are a selection of photographs from the day:

Snow Days!

As the worst snows to hit the UK in five decades arrived and managed to bring most of the Country to a stand still, there was little left to do but to enjoy the moments!! Anyone who knows James and I will know that we love our dogs, Hamish and Baxter. Hamish was born in Canada and loves the snow, he gets really excited, Baxter however is a true Brit and isn’t really sure!! Here is a DVD slideshow of the two of them yesterday in the garden

Helen & Andrew’s Wedding Rolvenden Church & Little Silver Country Hotel

It was a lovely sunny autumn Saturday for Helen and Andrew’s wedding at Rolvenden Church at the beginning of November.

Beth my second photographer went to the church to meet Andrew and the guys for a quick drink ahead of the wedding and I went directly to Helen’s parents home where Helen and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The colour theme was a beautiful green and it blended perfectly with all the flowers and vintage trims. Helen had had her dress made and it was perfect for her, it was very simple and understated and blended beautifully with the family heirloom necklace and bracelet.

The extremely talented Sarah-Jane Morris of Melisma sang Opera as Helen entered the Church and also as they signed the register.

After the ceremony we were very lucky as we were able to get all of the photographs taken outside the church ahead of heading over to Little Silver Contry Hotel in Tenterden.

I have photographed many weddings at Little Silver and I can honestly say that Helen and Andrew spent alot of time considering their theme and the venue and the two worked perfectly together. The table plan was beautiful and had all hand pressed flowers and all the tables were named after the flowers.

The staff as ever were fantastic they just make every couple feel as if they are the only wedding they have ever had, it is no wonder this venue attracts couples from all over the UK.

Here are a few of the photographs from the day.

Carly & Jonny Wedding in Nottinghamshire

Earlier this year I was contacted by Carly who was struggling to find a photographer for hers and Jonny’s wedding in Nottingham, Carly’s home town although they both live in Bromley Kent. So after an initial meeting and being warned by Carly that her Dad was a photographer which was adding to the problems of finding someone, they booked me for their September wedding.

Carly & Jonny’s wedding was in a local Church however as Jonny works for a Church in Bromley, his boss officiated at their wedding which made it all the more special and personal to the two of them.

The reception afterwards was at the nearby Blotts Country Country club and as there was so many children they had a bouncy castle and also a vintage style ice cream cart serve guests in the afternoon.

Here are a selection of photographs from the day.

Victoria & Dan’s wedding ~ the lady in red!

It really was the lady in red when Victoria married Dan. I first met Victoria and Dan in January when they made there way from their way from Cambridge to my studio in Ashford on the worst snow weekend that Kent had seen for many years!!

I always knew that Victoria and Dan’s wedding was going to be very different, they had decided to get married on the 31 October and they wanted to have include Hallowen and pumpkins into their wedding.

Victoria wore red and the bridesmaid wore black with red bows, and the guys all wore black with red accent colours.

Unfortunately for Victoria and Dan the heavens opened just as they were to walk out of church, but they did not let that spoil their very special day.
